Programs

At Culture for Change Foundation, we believe in the power of creativity to foster growth, connect people, and spark new ideas. Our Arts & Creativity Programs provide individuals with the tools to explore their artistic potential, develop new skills, and contribute to the beautification of their community. These programs are designed for people of all ages and abilities, encouraging both personal expression and professional development in the arts.
  1. Sewing Program (Twin Falls and Boise Areas):
    • Purpose: The sewing program aims to develop job skills, promote financial independence, and create a safe space for networking and mental wellness. By learning sewing and upcycling, participants can earn income from their creations and gain a sense of achievement.
    • Outcome: The program has expanded to Boise, serving approximately 90 students per year. It contributes to reducing fast fashion, producing alteration experts, inspiring fashion show designers, and encouraging STEM-related career pathways. Additionally, it promotes mental wellness and provides a platform for cultural exchange and skill-building.
  2. Intro to Multimedia Art:
    • Description: This 8-week class introduces participants to various art forms, including color theory, gradient, perspective, and watercolor. The final project is displayed within the community, showcasing participants' newfound skills.
    • Outcome: Participants develop creative problem-solving skills, gain an introduction to art techniques, and contribute to community beautification through their work.
  3. Indian Fabric Painting:
    • Description: Participants learn basic fabric painting techniques, including shading, leaf painting, and flower strokes. The class connects individuals to Indian art and culture, providing a therapeutic and creative experience.
    • Outcome: The program promotes cultural connection, artistic pride, and mental wellness through hands-on creative expression.
