Our History & Values

Where we started
The Culture for Change Foundation is a grassroots organization established in 2019, committed to empowering women and youth through education, training, and a sense of belonging in the community.
OUR MISSION
Our mission is to provide education and training for women and youth that promotes cultural connection, social wellness, and financial independence – all in an inclusive, joyful space that feels like home.
Our Unique Positioning
CFCF is the only BIPOC-led multicultural organization in the Magic Valley region of Idaho — spanning from Twin Falls to Pocatello and Rexburg.
While other groups exist, we excel at cultivating deep community roots and offering intersectional programming.

With strong partnerships across health, education, and the arts, CFCF has proven impact through creative, culturally grounded approaches.
The board composition itself models the organization’s mission:
-
Includes African Americans, refugees, immigrants, and local Idahoans.
-
Represents diverse racial, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds, emphasizing inclusion not only in service delivery but also in governance.

Sustainability
The Culture for Change Foundation relies on a diverse array of resources to sustain its programs, including grants, donations, community partnerships, and the dedication of volunteers and instructors. Our sustainability strategy includes expanding our reach, building strong donor relationships, and ensuring ongoing community involvement.
